Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LinkPilot AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Chrome Web Store extension. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding our data practices.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our core functionality securely and efficiently, we collect a strictly limited amount of data:

Device Identifiers: We collect a unique device identifier to enable seamless, passwordless authentication. This allows you to use the extension without creating an account or managing passwords.

LinkedIn Post Content: When the extension is active, we temporarily process the text content of LinkedIn posts that are currently visible on your feed. This text is required to generate the AI score and evaluation.

2. What We DO NOT Collect

Your privacy and security are our top priorities. We explicitly DO NOT collect or scrape:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.
  • Passwords or login credentials.
  • Direct Messages (DMs) or private communications.
  • Your personal profile data or connections list.

3. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used solely to provide and maintain the core functionality of the LinkPilot AI extension. Specifically:

Device Identifiers: Used exclusively to verify your device's access to our backend API securely.

Post Content: Used exclusively to analyze the text and return an AI-generated networking score and summary. The text is not used for profiling or advertising.

4. Third-Party Services and Processing

We utilize secure, industry-leading third-party services to process and store data. By using LinkPilot AI, you acknowledge that data is processed through the following infrastructure:

Groq: We use Groq as our Large Language Model (LLM) provider. The text of LinkedIn posts is sent to Groq's secure API solely for the purpose of rapid processing and scoring.

Supabase: We use Supabase for our secure database and device authentication. Device identifiers are stored securely within Supabase to manage access.

Vercel: Our secure backend API, which facilitates communication between the extension and our AI models, is hosted on Vercel.

These third-party providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and do not use your data for their own independent purposes.

5. Data Retention and Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data both in transit (using HTTPS/TLS encryption) and at rest. We do not store the content of LinkedIn posts permanently; post text is processed ephemerally to generate scores and is then discarded.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
